Honors and Standard English I

• Warm-up
• Update Literary Terms Dictionary: 8. metaphor & 9. simile
• Metaphor, Simile & Imagery Practice
• We did a series of creative writing activities to practice using creative and imaginative details! 
• HW: Honors: Write, edit, and polish ONE metaphor poem (see instructions handout given in class!)
  Std: You  may do this for 5 points extra credit & present in class on Wednesday or Friday!
• Reminder: We will have a guest teacher for next class--be sure to come prepared with pencils and paper for our activities!
